Kamukhaan Revisited: Heaven’s Antidote to Pesticide Poisoning


In this report, residents of Kamukhaan, an indigenous Manobo village in the Southern Philippines, narrate the continuous exposure and poisoning from pesticide use by an adjacent banana plantation, and how expansion of these plantations render farmers landless and posing threats to health, environment and their livelihoods.
