Pesticide Factsheet: Atrazine
Atrazine, a Syngenta manufactured herbicide commonly used in corn and sugarcane plantations, was banned in 2004 by the European Union due to its potential to contaminate groundwater. Earlier in 2001, Atrazine was the most commonly detected pesticide contaminating drinking water in the United States.
