Case Study: Effects of Climate Change and Adaptation Responses of Small Farmers in Central Visayas, Philippines


The Vulnerability and Adaptation Research launched by Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya Inc. (SIBAT) in cooperation with Farmers’ Development Center Inc. (FARDEC) and the Farmers’ Organisations in Central Visayas recognized the need to appropriately address the effects of changing climate patterns on small farmers in the Philippines. This paper documents the efforts to produce solutions to the problems posed by climate change, and to understand its effects to small farmers, and the formulation of action plans to address the problems.
